A beautiful cosy cottage to stay in, feels like a home away from home for a peaceful and much needed respite from busy London! Even in blustery February, which made the short walk to the scenic Levant mines by the sea even more beautiful and dramatic, it’s really worth a stay here. The kitchen is really well stocked (but the local pub 30 seconds down the road does some really great food.) Only a 20 min drive from great spots to visit like St Michael’s Mount and the Minnack Theatre and you’re still not far from St Ives (whilst also getting to experience the peace and quiet of Trewellard). That being said, it’s a gorgeous cottage to cosy up next to the fire for the evening. Thank you so much for our stay here, we had such a wonderful time and looking forward to the next time ❤️

Fantastic cottage all year round, loads to see in the area, lots of walks, and pet friendly as well! Very well decorated with lots of real art, I have thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will be inspired to create more work.

I had the pleasure of staying at Grenfells Cottage for a weekend getaway and had a wonderful time. What a scenic cosy cottage. The location is great being so close to Penzance and St Ives. These photos were taken down the road from the cottage!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this hidden gem, and it exceeded all expectations. The location is ideal, with charming spots like Penzance and St. Ives just a short 20-minute drive away. The cottage’s character is beautifully complemented by the surrounding area, and to top it off, there’s a quaint country pub just 50 meters down the road. Though we’ve just left, we’re already looking forward to our next stay!

Gorgeous cottage. We love this place. Super comfortable, really well equipped kitchen, beautifully cared for and decorated. Grenfells feels like a home, not a sterile stopping point.

Grenfells is a lovely cosy cottage, very comfortable and has everything you need. The new extension is beautifully done, and the garden is dog proof. The artwork on the walls is outstanding, I would have loved to have taken some home! Within walking distance of pubs and shops, and the Levant mine and coast path. The owners are a delight to correspond with, and Michele the housekeeper is really helpful and the cottage was spotless. I would love to stay there again.

A charming tin miner's terraced cottage with sea views over the surrounding farmland.
Dating back to early Victorian times, this traditional granite cottage has been renovated to provide a comfortable and surprisingly spacious family holiday home, complete with cosy period interior.
Grenfells' boasts two outside areas; a spacious front patio complete with table and chairs, and a garden room at the back with bi-fold doors that open up to a beautiful patio. Enjoy a morning breakfast with sea views, or a beautiful place to have an evening BBQ with friends and family watching the sunset.
The cottage is rurally based, yet just three miles from St. Just, seven miles to the fabulous blue flag beach at Sennen Cove or to the quaint town of Penzance, and twelve miles in the opposite direction to the artist’s colony of St. Ives, it's perfectly situated to get the best of all worlds. Additionally, just on your doorstep there are a number of footpaths and published walks that cater to all interests.
Grenfells is a short stroll to the Levant Mine which is perched on the mighty granite cliffs overlooking the Atlantic, housing one of the oldest working beam engines in Cornwall.
Operated by the National Trust, the old mine workings have been very well preserved and the huge Beam Engine is fired up several times a week and is a real treat for the family.
Less than a mile down the main North Coast road is the famous Geevor Mine, the last working tin mine in the area and now a heritage museum, and Pendeen lighthouse is just a little further on.
